Here at Weydown Pre-School and Day Nursery we strive to provide outstanding care for our babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers to allow them to the best opportunity to grow, develop on their skills and knowledge and thrive. Most importantly we ensure they have lots of fun!

ENJOYING EDUCATION
We appreciate how vital the early years are for a child’s development and we therefore strive to create a stimulating environment to encourage each child to thrive. Our aim is to provide a leaning experience to encourage the children under our care to gain knowledge, first hand experience and continue to develop upon their knowledge they have already acquired. Intellectual, social and emotional delvelopment are at the core of our teaching at Weydown Pre-School and Day Nursery, but we also want to ensure that each child has fun and enjoys their time with us!

We understand that every child is unique and therefore we are dedicated to getting to know each child’s individual nuisances. Our dedicated team value a child’s differences and encourage them, to express themselves whilst providing a safe and supporting space for them to do so.

We understand the importance of helping children to settle into a new nursery environment, as well as ensuring each parent/caregiver is comfortable leaving their children with us. As such, we provide an environment that is safe, loving and stimulating which enables every child to feel happy, joyful and confident as they grow.
FULLY QUALIFIED STAFF
We have a small team of well-qualified, experienced and nurturing staff who all have a passion for childcare.
LONG OPENING HOURS
We are open from 9am-6pm Monday to Friday for 50 weeks of the years, with the exception of Bank Holidays. We offer an earlier start if necessary, as well as half or full day sessions.
RANGE OF ACTIVITIES
To fulfil their potential and gain the maximum amount of skills, knowledge and first hand experiences possible we provide a range of age-appropriate activities daily according to the EYFS Curriculum.

The safety and well-being of our children and staff is at the centre of everything we do. We are committed to safeguarding and ensuring the welfare of our babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers. We have a number of policies and procedures to ensure this is the case.

I can not fault the Weydown Nursery setting. An outstanding nursery with an incredible amount of resources for the children and on top of that, knowledgable, friendly, welcoming staff. My son (15 months) struggled with the transition into nursery and the staff worked with my husband and I every step of the way to ensure he settled in well and now he is thriving. I can’t thank the staff enough, nothing is ever too much for them and they have made the process of the nursery transition so much more comfortable for us all.

Our daughter started at Weydown Nursery in January and since starting she has absolutely loved her time there! The staff are so friendly, caring and supportive and nothing is too much trouble. We have been really impressed with how well they have supported her through toilet training, changing rooms and her independence and confidence. She is always super excited and happy to go to nursery and that is down to the wonderful staff! I cannot recommend it enough.
